Job Description
We are looking for passionate Undergraduate Students to join our Mechanical Design Engineering team.
We are a high-performing streamlined business, delivering extraordinary products. By joining us as an Undergraduate Student, you will make a direct contribution to the successful operations in the Trials and Test Technology Centre, where we conduct trials across mechanical, explosive and extreme environments, and maintain capabilities such as the Orion plasma LASER facility.
You will also gain knowledge and experience of industry best practices within the Mechanical Design Engineering discipline. Exact tasking will depend on the projects available at the time. You can expect to be part of a team that is involved in project scoping, writing technical specifications and project documentation, concepting and feasibility testing, detailed CAD design and delivering design reviews. During this, you will be supported and mentored by experienced Mechanical Design Engineers, well versed in AWE processes.
Requirements
Interested candidates will most likely be studying a Mechanical / Design Engineering degree.
You are the sort of person who likes getting stuck into interesting problems. You are curious about what you see and eager to learn new things. You ask questions when you do not understand something and are resilient in the face of setbacks. You like working with others and you are dependable. You are comfortable working in a classified environment on defence projects.
