The Salesforce Developer will play a vital role at Dext. We are looking for an individual that will be central to continually improving and enhancing the Salesforce platform for our organisation. Our Salesforce instance is critically important to Dext, therefore you should keep the wider organisation’s best interests in mind composing and deploying any code. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of all programmatic requests, whilst also being highly competent in configuration. You’ll need excellent knowledge of when to use code or configuration, always considering Salesforce best practices. You’ll be a key part of our Salesforce team and other teams to collaborate on specifications based on stakeholder requirements, validate the proposals, and deliver the solutions.
The role - what you'll do:
- Salesforce subject matter expert and highly competent at translating Dext process requirements to technical solutions, using both clicks and code
- Collaborating with the Salesforce team to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits)
- Developing Apex (classes and triggers based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements
- Integrating Salesforce with other applications, within the existing tech stack and supporting new technologies brought in. Using Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the organisation.
- Adhering to Salesforce best practices, maintaining code documentation, and writing/maintaining test classes for all custom development
- Taking ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
- Collaborating with other teams to integrate across the business
- Supporting the Salesforce Administrators and other Team members through peer reviews
