Job Description

The opportunity

Castle Trust Bank is a fintech and newly authorised bank. We’re on a mission to disrupt banking with technology as a key enabler. With exciting and challenging work, it means we work in an environment in which you can personally grow. That’s why, when we’re recruiting, we’re looking for individuals who are as enthusiastic and passionate as we are about changing banking for the better.

We’re on the lookout for a Savings Pricing Manager to lead the pricing strategy for the Savings business function at the bank, analysing and assessing the savings market and determining the optimum pricing model and approach. Deposits growth are a key part of Castle Trust’s strategy; therefore, this is a pivotal role where you will make sure that our goals are met, which creating advocates for customers and colleagues.

You will be responsible for determining pricing changes in line with the bank’s liquidity requirements, working closely with the Treasury and Data teams to own performance forecasting and analytics on performance, providing regular reporting to senior stakeholders and the Executive team on pricing and performance. You will provide input and help shape the wider Savings product proposition, whilst keeping up to date with the Savings market scanning growth opportunities, innovation, regulatory change and risks.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage pricing within the Savings business function, helping to shape strategy, improve our pricing proposition and make a significant impact to Castle Trust’s overall success. You’ll get the chance to fine tune your existing skills and develop some new ones along the way.

What we are looking for in you

What is important to us is that you have proven experience of managing pricing (analysis and modelling) and risk strategies for products within financial services. Ideally, this will be specific to the retail Savings market with a sound understanding of the regulatory requirements associated with the UK Savings market (FCA Handbook, MCOB), ideally with extensive knowledge of ISAs and distribution of Savings products through a range of partners. You will have the ability to identify insight through trends, modelling and forecasting with strong presentation skills and the capability to present ideas clearly and at short notice to a mix of technical and business audiences. Your Excel capability will be advanced whilst being proficient in the use of Power BI for reporting.

What is equally important to us is that you are commercially astute and customer oriented, with a proven ability to develop and mature high performing cultures. You will be curious with a passion for learning and able to apply relevant knowledge/strategies to improve commercial performance, with a natural ability to work closely with senior stakeholders (including the Executive team). You will have a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable dealing with challenge and ambiguity. Considering the nature of the role, you will be highly organised and task driven, with the ability to work well under pressure and in an agile environment.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary, we offer an annual performance related bonus based on individual and company performance. In addition, a generous contributory pension scheme through Hargreaves Lansdown, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays on top) with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days (terms apply). In addition, you will receive an extra day paid annual leave for Volunteering.

Wellbeing is also high on our agenda, and we offer healthcare benefits through Vitality and Equipsme. In addition, all colleagues have free access to Lifeworks EAP to support their health and wellbeing. We also offer free eye test vouchers and discounted gym membership, and if that’s not enough, we also offer season ticket travel loans (if applicable).
