Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW:

r10 require an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst who will be assisting a large insurance client, for the collection and understanding of the requirements the business have of the Guidewire products and associated ecosystems.

The consultant will be working on a wide variety of Guidewire projects, both the core platform and the various integrations. You’ll be covering a range of topics from new product and platform launches to technology refreshes and delivering significant business change, whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

ROLE OBJECTIVES:

  • Perform analysis across the end-to-end business processes to understand the system impacts
  • Manage / coordinate analysis activities within GW project(s)
  • Planning and be responsible for the analysis approach, adapting organisational standards to meet project goals
  • Collaborative by nature, you’ll understand the need to work with other areas of the business with the customer at the heart of your focus. You’ll be able to drive activity and understand the deliverables involved, as well as meet challenging timelines
  • Elicit and document business requirements, ensuring the needs of both internal (countries / functions) and external parties (eg software providers) are reconciled
  • Contribute to the functional design of the system, preparing use cases, functional specifications, and other design artefacts where applicable
  • Explaining the functionality amp; use cases with COTS amp; bespoke solutions
  • Work alongside third-party providers to ensure the scoped solution fully meets the business need
  • Perform peer reviews for project artefacts to ensure specified standards are attained
  • Provide support for testing, implementation, and training activities to ensure the seamless delivery of change

Requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE / SKILL-SET:

  • End-to-end experience of the project lifecycle and business analysis experience of IT/business change projects
  • Experience with different methodologies and best practices using a range of requirement elicitation and documentation techniques
  • Experience of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum. Knowledge of the AGILE methodology/Scaled Agile Framework, SDLC processes would be preferable.
  • System and user acceptance testing
  • Business process modelling and tools
  • A good understanding of IT and digital technology combined with commercial awareness
  • Experience delivering BA artefacts on business and IT change projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • Knowledge and experience in using Jira
