Scope of RoleReporting to our Engineering Manager, the Apps team in London is expanding and we are looking for a frontend Engineer with interest and experience in system monitoring, time-series visualisation/analysis, or similar. We are looking for someone who can take an active and leading role in delivering domain specific monitoring solutions.
The team builds Apps which can monitor and report on the status of 10s of thousands of Servers, Processes, and business flows. We have several green-field projects in the pipeline which require smart UIs for incident investigation, root-cause analysis, signals and alert configuration. To accelerate the development, we are looking for someone who will work directly with the backend Engineers and partners to drive the product forward. Experience with gRPC or REST API development is a must, and some level of backend development experience (JAVA) would be a benefit to this role.
Contribute to App development through:
- Enhance and maintain existing Apps.
- Develop new Apps using innovative solutions and rapid prototyping.
- Development of backend APIs to deliver new features or to evolve existing functionality.
- Look for early feedback from partners.
- Improvement of existing monitoring applications catered to client satisfaction.
- Contribution to improving Engineering team processes and standards.
- Support decisions on technical choices in projects, participating as a technical expert in defining solutions for our clients.
- Lead Defining and implementing the UI for Apps.
- Develop UI ideas into working software.
- Oversee leveraging technical skills of the teams, helping in defining the training programs and being aware of the latest technology trends.
- Work with Engineering Manager to provide delivery estimates and manage activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Help deliver development projects from requirements, design to release.
- Pay attention to quality, maintainability, performance and testing.
- Passion for technology and software development.
- At least 5 years’ hands-on front-end or full-stack development work experience.
- Backend development, especially Java.
- Experience with gRPC or REST API development.
- Programming skills in TypeScript and knowledge of programming patterns and best practices.
- Experience with modern web technologies (React, Material-UI, amCharts, CSS3).
- Experience with Continuous Integration best practices.
- Experience with reactive and functional programming.
- Experience developing user-centric applications.
- Experience leading and managing the delivery of projects.
