Job Description

As an Operations Coordinator at Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that assists with all Operational Support functions of the luxury train. In this role, you will provide a support system to the onboard team and Head Office. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for excellence and storytelling in travel, a strong cultural awareness and an unswerving approach to maintaining standards. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring smooth and efficient processes are in place to guarantee top-quality service and guest satisfaction.
  • Reservation support, from handling incoming queries to advising itinerary changes.
  • Product development, including developing new itineraries with the Operations and Guest Services team and assisting with the planning of charter operations.
  • Operations admin, such as creating and updating guest manifests, booking and managing off-train visits, authorising supplier invoices and ensuring the smooth running of check-in arrangements.
  • Sustainability: helping manage, coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation, monitoring and improvement of sustainability policies for the Royal Scotsman, including monthly reporting on the EarthCheck system.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, tourism or business studies.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative.
  • Exceptional communication, organisational and administrative skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
