Requirements

Sounds great right? What will you be doing?

We're looking for a talented Node.js engineer to join our team. Initially you will be working on an exciting project with a global advisory partner expanding our international Open Finance connections.

We operate a highly automated microservices platform running on AWS. We work in a DevOps manner - automating as much as possible. We run a continuous delivery workflow - with services automatically deployed once automated tests pass. We connect to a growing number of financial institutions via several different approaches including OpenBanking, bespoke APIs, offline data loads and consumer consented screen scraping technologies and a major part of your role will be looking after the reliability and performance of these connections.

This is a role in which you can grow and gain a huge amount of experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Node.JS, OpenBanking and APIs. We can either considers people with expertise in these technologies or someone who is looking to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Connections - their stability and performance - this will include working with the engineering team to improve reporting and automated alerts.
  • Working with our DevOps team to continually improve our platform - more automation, taking advantage of AWS services, etc.
  • Be an active member of the Agile delivery teams, creating CI environments, problem solving and debugging with the developers.
  • Carry out 2nd line support tasks, responding to alarms and SLA failures generated by the system monitoring tools.
  • Proactively monitor systems and react to events as and when they occur, and ensure our systems are always there for all of our customers.
  • Collaborate and contribute code with the Software Engineering team - we use mostly JavaScript.
