We launched our first venue at The O2, London in 2021 and have confirmed our next UK opening in Birmingham! We aim to have 30 venues within the UK in the next ten years, in parallel to overseas expansion (US, Mexico, Europe and beyond).

Main Responsibilities
This role requires a strong, sales-savvy individual to drive and manage the events for our brand new venue in Birmingham Bullring! Working closely with the Director of Sales amp; Partnerships, you will be responsible for the efficient creation, planning and successful running of corporate and social events, whilst leading your own team through the journey!

  • Driving revenue through events by consistently achieving your own KPIs, as well as ensuring your overall team KPIs are also met
  • Successfully leading a high performing team, ensuring responsibilities amp; duties are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Clearly communicating and collaborating with key stakeholders and teammates throughout all stages of the design, planning and running of events
  • Drive new and creative ways to generate new business for the events team, gaining your own accounts from agencies and large venue buyouts
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales amp; Partnerships to provide a consistent approach in sharing information and data as needed, to ensure visibility when communicating revenue, costs, profit, loss, labour and financially related information
  • Have a proactive approach to identify and implement processes to organise, action and improve the overall guest experience and increase the number repeat bookings of large events
  • Build strong relationships with external agents and listing companies
  • Attend national exhibitions and networking events, to help grow the events business through sales and brand awareness
  • To create and execute a monthly sales activity plan, detailing specific sales activity and ensuring all planned activities are completed by you and the team
  • Partner closely with the General Manager and liaise weekly with the venue operations team providing details of up and coming events including. Building strong relationships with all venue teammates is key!
  • To ensure each guest’s individual and specific needs are met and being attentive at all times whilst on the phone or in person
  • To present and sell TOCA’s bespoke event packages effectively on a high spec to maximise event revenue
  • To handle credit card transactions correctly and responsibly, ensuring financial accuracy and security is maintained at all times
  • Responsible for the creating, planning and execution of all events, including but not limited to; social, networking, team building, team training, team awards, seminars, conferences, business meetings amp; gatherings

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven successful sales experience
  • Experience in managing and motivating a high performing Sales Team
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience in competitive socialising or a similar industry
  • Passionate about sales and driving revenue
  • Exceptional executive presence and ability to cultivate positive relationships, both internally and externally
  • Strong attention-to-detail, self-directed initiative, resourcefulness and drive for innovation
  • Demonstrated proactive commitment in evolving events based on feedback and guidance
