Here’s what you’ll be doing:As an FPamp;A Analyst at Simply Business, you'll truly get under the hood of our business and understand how everything works. You’ll be partnering with our Shared Services team (essentially what we call our product and tech function). You’ll get into the weeds of regular reporting and build a real understanding of what is happening in our delivery of global tech.
Your manager Fionna (Lead Finance Business Partner) will lead by giving you the autonomy to do the work but also have space to grow and bring ideas to the table. It’s all about how we can improve the way we do things to make it easier but also give the best value and business output.
As one of our Senior FPA Analysts, you’ll:
- support our Global Shared Service teams with ownership of accurate and timely global cost centre, headcount and portfolio investment figures, analysis and reporting
- own month-end tasks such as manual journals, prepayments, intangible assets, development costs and global recharges
- identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
- lead and deliver the budgeting process and rolling forecast
- gain a deep understanding of business areas to influence capacity utilisation and cost allocation reporting
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Bachelors degree qualified in finance, accounting, economics or related field/qualification
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
- able to demonstrate finance or a related analytical field experience. This is a must for this position due to the level of reporting required in this role
- able to demonstrate strong understanding in financial modelling, Pamp;L management or analysis
- able to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions
