We are looking for a passionate, pragmatic and experienced communications professional who has a background in the science and/or health and life sciences sector to be the inaugural full-time member of BenevolentAI’s communications team. You will lead the delivery of external and internal communication strategies at BenevolentAI, forging close relationships across the company to drive content creation including blogs, opinion pieces, and press releases, as well as managing our online presence including our website and social media presence.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to step up, potentially from agency, into a role that is ready to flex and grow for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Be the inaugural full-time member of our growing communications team, helping to design and deliver on both internal and external communications strategies. Key responsibilities to include:
- Be the trusted go-to person within the company to help guide on both internal and external communications
- Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, media outlets, and partners.
- Developing compelling content for blogs, opinion pieces, and press releases.
- Overseeing and managing our website, maintaining relevant and up-to-date content.
- Collaborating with internal teams to craft engaging narratives reflecting our mission.
- Planning and executing social media campaigns to enhance online visibility.
- Proactively managing communication projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Influencing and advising senior leaders on communications strategies
- Responding to issues and crisis
We are looking for:
- At least 6+ years communications experience, either agency or in-house
- Excellent writing skills for a range of channels or audiences
- Preferred background or experience in Life Sciences and Health
- Proven track record of proactivity, ability to work independently
- Proficient in utilising social media for strategic communication and brand building.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work effectively with senior management
