Job Description

We are the internal recruitment partner for The Peterborough School and are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Childcare Practitioner to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Childcare Practitioner, you will have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, hold a Level 2 or above childcare qualification and have relevant experience within an Early Years setting.

You will thrive at creating a fun, stimulating and safe environment for the children within the Nursery whilst setting up and tidying away planned activities. You will work closely with your key children to ensure their learning and development is focused and progressing in a positive manner whilst working closely with a dedicated team, children and supportive parents in a beautiful setting.

Requirements

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Hold a childcare qualification - Level 2 or above
  • Additional training courses such as Safeguarding, First Aid and Food Hygiene is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to utilise EYFS knowledge to aid children's development
  • Continuously promoting children's safety and wellbeing
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
