Job Description

As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) you will play a pivotal role in driving Trinny London's revenue growth, acquiring new customers, and ensuring long-term retention, centred around our mission of helping people be their best by building confidence, delivering impactful entertainment and fostering genuine community. You are responsible for product marketing, brand and creative, owned editorial, podcast and social content across both Trinny London and Trinny Woodall channels, PR and influencer marketing, and the growth and engagement of our brand community, the Trinny Tribe.

The Role

Your daily to-dos might look like this:

  • Drive revenue growth by developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with Trinny London’s vision and mission.
  • Drive key marketing efforts for international company expansion within key markets - North America and wider USA
  • Lead, mentor and empower a high-performing marketing team including Creative, PR, Community, Editorial and Product Marketing. Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability within the marketing department.
  • Own and evolve the brand's positioning, unique selling propositions, and target audience segments.
  • Cultivate and strengthen the brand identity, ensuring it resonates with our consumer audience.
  • Develop and execute customer acquisition strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Implement customer retention programs to increase customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Collaborate with product innovation teams, developing product launch strategies to bring new products to market.
  • Lead PR amp; Marketing functions, overseeing them to identify and negotiate strategic partnerships with influencers, retailers, and other industry players.
  • Foster and drive partnership relationships with industry organisations and key stakeholders to enhance the brand's visibility.
  • Remain a thought leader on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, using data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions
  • Provide regular reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive team
  • Identify growth opportunities and create actionable plans
  • Oversee the development of brand guidelines and messaging consistency across all channels.
  • Manage brand reputation and crisis communication when necessary.

Requirements

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Proven leadership experience from a leading brand, desirably within the Beauty industry
  • International and global experience, preferably launching and building a UK brand into US markets
  • Senior level, C-suite experience managing a high performing Marketing department
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the cosmetics industry and market trends.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling up businesses and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
