Class 1 ADR Driver
Start Times: AM (Start times vary from 04:00)
Monday to Friday
Description
We are currently seeking a Class 1 ADR Driver who will be reporting directly to the Transport Manager and will be responsible for the professional and efficient collection, transportation and disposal of packaged goods. Whilst adhering to health and safety and other Company procedures.
Principal Accountabilities
- To professionally drive and operate vehicles as directed by the traffic office and operations manager, ensuring the efficient and effective collection, transportation and disposal of customers’ waste.
- To adhere to company processes and procedures, including health and safety procedures, at all times, promoting safe practice and reporting near misses.
- To undertake routine vehicle checks in an accurate and timely manner, reporting defects where appropriate.
- To provide sickness, breakdown, and holiday cover for other colleagues when necessary.
- To attend training courses and tool-box-talks when required, ensuring that skills and knowledge are kept up to date.
- To develop and maintain good relationships with internal colleagues and external customers, providing consistently high levels of customer service at all times.
- To carry out any other reasonable job-related tasks, this will include any other ad hoc tasks.

Requirements
Essential Experience
- Previous Class 1 ADR driving experience
- Previous experience of working in the waste management industry
- Valid ADR qualification
- DQC
- Digital card
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
Desirable skills
Education amp; Qualifications
- Class 1LGV License
Skills and Behaviours
- Ability to safely manoeuvre LGVs into restricted amp; confined spaces
To be able and willing to work away from home on a regular basis, to night out in your cab frequently.
Excellent customer service skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Good communication skills
