About the role

We’re looking for an experienced brand marketer to help us create a new category of digital products for couples and establish Paired as the ‘go-to’ brand in this space.

Responsible for developing and articulating our brand story, you will help to make Paired a globally recognised and trusted brand. You will also build and lead the brand marketing team across PR, partnerships, campaigns, copy and social media.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver increased brand awareness, consideration and trust amongst Paired’s key audience groups in our core market, the US
  • Evolve and own Paired’s brand purpose and identity
  • Maintain and update our user segments and personas; understand who we are targeting and their main characteristics
  • Develop rich customer insights via market research and internal surveys, to understand attitudes and barriers towards relationship care, and to inform ongoing creative and message testing
  • Develop Paired’s brand strategy, ensuring our purpose drives good quality decision-making across channels
  • Develop and lead campaigns with the goal of bringing awareness to our category and our brand and make couples talk about us
  • Act as chief storyteller, ensuring our company mission and USPs are clearly articulated in the most compelling way
  • Ensure we have the right tools in place to monitor brand performance across markets and inform ongoing improvements and creative thinking
  • Ensure a consistent brand experience across marketing and product touchpoints by acting as the brand expert within the business, sharing insights, best practise and results

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience as a brand manager with at least 2 years experience in a leadership position, looking for an opportunity to scale a global, mobile-first business
  • Experience working for a global brand, ideally within a scale-up and/or subscription-based business
  • Experience developing viral or gorilla brand campaigns
  • Excellent knowledge of the US market
  • Track record of increasing brand awareness for a specific brand
  • Experience working with PR and developing interesting stories
  • A brand strategist, with the ability to connect creativity with business results in a tangible way
  • Knowledge of social media channels and experience leveraging them for brand awareness
  • Good analytical skills, experience running market research and turn insights into actionable next steps
  • A great communicator and copywriter who loves meeting and working with a diverse range of people
  • An inspiring storyteller with the ability to bring others on a journey
  • A valid European or USA working permit or passport (no sponsorship requirements)
