Job Description

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking an Applications and Peripherals Project Manager to join their team. The role is based in Corsham with some remote working. The role requires SC clearance.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 29/03/2024 and offer a rate up to 725/day.

IR35 STATUS:Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead on the planning, migration and lifecycle management of all applications and peripherals across to new digital services. This is in preparation of the full migration of the digital estate. You will support the planning and execution of an initial 500 User migration and support to the planning and rollout of a full, industry wide migration.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and plan the projects delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Working with project controls to update schedules for monthly reporting to Programme Dep Head and Programme Director.
  • Identify, engage, and manage the projects stakeholder community both internal and external, to ensure successful rollout of the capability.
  • Update, identify, manage, and monitor all risks, issues, and dependencies across the project for monthly reporting to Dep Programme Head and Programme Director.
  • Organising and holding regular supplier/authority/internal stakeholder project boards to co-ordinate, plan and deliver the end-to-end rollout of the capability.
  • Undertaking deep dives where required and escalating issues to the Programme Dep Head and Programme Director.
  • Managing project finances within agreed Forecast of Outturn (FOO), ensuring accuracy in forecasting and financial reporting (including accruals).
  • Reporting on project finances to the Programme Dep Head and Programme Director once a month.
  • Addressing and managing commercial issues that arise during the project life cycle.
  • Identifying and monitoring conformance against the contractual obligations and payment milestones, resolving challenges and escalating issues to the Programme Dep Head and commercial as required.
  • Create and distribute targeted and timely communications on the project progress.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate delivery with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to be flexible in approach to problem solving and to proactively manage issues as and when they arise.
  • Support Authority governance processes, ensuring timely engagement.
  • Ensure the project conforms to the standard governance processes.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 General visas cannot be accepted.
