As aSenior Design Manager, you will lead and manage a team of talented game designers to develop and grow live titles. You will oversee the design process, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality games. You will be instrumental in mentoring/guiding and ensuring that the game's strategy amp; vision are carried out by your team in each of their individual projects. In this role, you will report into senior leadership and will be accountable for the design leadership of the studio’s main title.
Key Roles amp; Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of game designers to develop and grow live titles
- Providing regular feedback and working on your teams career development
- Developing and improving structures to help your team thrive; and advocating on their behalf at a company level.
- Push forward initiatives, job frameworks, improvements and best practices to help designers achieve more
- Oversee the design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality games
- Collaborate with other departments to align on game development goals
- Define and drive problem-solving culture both on your design team and for the team at large
- Impart your experience and methods to the team, and leverage their strengths and backgrounds to build a versatile team capable of tackling any challenge
Requirements
- Proven experience managing game design teams
- A deep understanding of game design principles and best practices
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience in developing and managing live titles
- Passion for games and commitment to delivering high-quality experiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
