Our Product amp; Engineering department is made up of approximately 240 employees, who collectively design, build and deploy software products for a wide range of financial market clients with a primary focus on the fund data value chain. Our Product Managers are primarily based in the UK and Europe and our software development teams are spread across a number of our core locations including the UK, Europe and India.

Requirements

Your key responsibilities as a Technical Programme Manager will be to:

  • Manage the governance of one of our most critical product and technology migration programmes
  • Achieve the programme’s core objective to integrate our products and services that have come to FE fundinfo primarily through acquisition activity enabling us to provide a best in class service for our clients
  • Review our governance practices and ensure the right level of focus is being placed in the right areas
  • Provide governance overhaul and deliver a focussed and detail orientated approach to our programme
  • Own and define all aspects of programme governance: project planning, dependency mapping, RAID log management amp; decision and steering committee management for the associated programme
  • Suggest tools, templates and programme management methodologies to support the product migration programme and ensure these are adhered to across the business
  • Be responsible for resource allocation / co-ordination of resources across functions and support the Business Manager in monitoring the budget of these resources
  • Be responsible for any internal communications required to update key stakeholders on the changes and outcomes of the programme
  • Feed into any management and board reporting on the progress of the programme

To join us as a Technical Programme Manager, you will need the following experience and skills:

  • You will have proven demonstrable experience of managing governance across complex programmes (ideally in a technical product migration capacity (eg software).
  • You will have cross functional technical programme management experience. This is essential for the role, as you will be required to pull resources across multiple functions to deliver change.
  • You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple activities occurring simultaneously
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This role will be required to communicate with all role levels and will at times face off directly to the executive sponsors of the programme
  • You will have ability to deliver difficult messages where necessary and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders
  • You will have proven track record of motivating diverse sets of teams across multiple functions
  • You will have hands on experience in resolving challenging issues and contributing to end state solution
  • You will have proven track record of ensuring priority value items are delivered on time
  • Ability to drive decisions, define and agree improvements and strategic changesin a structured and detail manner
