Group Financial FPamp;A Manager - Cost Controlling

Reports to Functional Cost Controller

Job Summary

The Group Finance Team is the principal source of planning and analysis of the Group, informing and supporting the decision making of Executive Management Team and the Private Equity Investors.

The position is responsible for the delivery and execution of Group FPamp;A activities with primary responsibility for Functional Cost Management namely monthly tracking, reporting, planning, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting (including collaboration with Controllership and Practice reporting teams).

To work with the Functional Leads (members of the Group Executive Team) to ensure team structure and discretionary spend is prioritised and value-adding. Co-ordinate the business case for Capex spend requests across the Group and tracking once approved.

Support the wider Group FPamp;A Team in delivery and executions of Budget, Forecasting and strategic initiatives

All locations that Open Health Group Operates, primarily US and UK.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

Execute and support the long-term vision and strategy for FPamp;A:

  • Lead the production of standard and ad-hoc Functional Cost Reporting
  • Communicate the spend with Functional Leads and identify opportunities on Team Structure and discretionary spend
  • Develop and standardise processes and reporting across all Functions
  • Manage the Quarterly forecasting exercise and reporting for the Board deck
  • Support the wider FPamp;A Team in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, cascade performance targets and standard metrics for the practice and functional areas of the organisation.

Analysis:

  • Co-ordination and preparation of the Group’s internal monthly financial management accounts reports. This is the compilation of detailed analysis packs for senior management showing spend by Functional Area.
  • A formal monthly report including scorecards and the production of Forecast presentations for the CFO to the Private Equity owners. The process involves liaison with all practice business units across the Group.
  • Timely preparation of a review notes pack for the senior management on an ongoing basis. This includes a critical review, analysis and summary of the practice business units’ and functional areas operating results, flagging issues, and risks and opportunities for consideration and adding value with insights.
  • Ownership of the development and management of analytical tools, reports and models to ensure accuracy, clarity, simplicity and relevance to support executive decision making.
  • Ownership of Practice and Group reporting metrics to ensure clarity of definition, relevance and consistency.
  • Data collection Review existing collection processes and investigate further automation and standardisation
  • Provide financial analytical support to cross functional teams (i.e. Investors, Treasury, Tax, Controllership) and CFO. This includes providing financial support for external documents including Mamp;A, debt raisings, credit rating assessments and future dividend policy.

Planning:

  • Budget and long-term planning co-ordination and preparation of the annual planning cycle, working closely with controllership, practice units and the tax and treasury functions. This includes process development and execution and the delivery of outputs to the Group FPamp;A and CFO (papers, presentations).
  • Forecasting co-ordination and preparation of the forecast cycles, owning forecast calendar and team co-ordination thereof, data gathering, analysis of data and metrics, preparing presentation for Group Director FPamp;A, CFO and Investors. Consider and present implications compared to previous forecast expectations and investor communications.

SIP program (SAP by Design, SAP Success Factors and Salesforce):

  • The Group is currently in the process of implementing a Group-wide ERP, HR Tool and Salesforce. The implementation is being led by a Internal IT, supported by Controllership and Group FPamp;A team members. The role will support the roll-out of these systems, including but not limited to providing input during the design, testing and training phases. Post implementation, the role will become one of the power-users of the system, using it to perform the analysis, reporting and planning activities aforementioned.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Extensive finance experience within a global international company.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field essential
  • Professional Qualifications (CIMA/ACCA/CPA) preferred
