UBDS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineerwith hands on experience to join our Engineering amp; Managed Services practice, playing a pivotal role in client facing projects and engagements.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy network solutions and enhancements to existing network deployments, software, and operating systems
- You will diagnose problems and troubleshooting issues across a number of technologies amp; vendors such as VMWare, Cisco SD-WAN, HP Aruba, Cisco Meraki , Palo Alto along with some more traditional/legacy network support.
- You will be a problem-solver, passionate about networking,.
- Our customer-facing role will expose you to a diverse group of teams, providing endless opportunities for career growth in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- You will be a SME for other members of the team whose speciality is not networking.
- Effectively communicate with customers regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries, both orally and in writing.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, and other various network-related issues
- Own each customer case from initial creation to resolution.
- Collaborate with other support team members to fix network outages, misconfigurations, and complex networking issues on customers' devices.
- Work with colleagues and our client's teams to diagnose and resolve critical, escalated issues.
About You
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Network Solutions
- Thorough comprehension of fundamental networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.
- Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, amp;/or DHCP servers
- Experience installing and troubleshooting WiFi networks
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent client / customer facing skills
- Experience in computer networking related problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Networking certifications: CCNA as a minimum
- Previous experience with Cisco Meraki, VM Ware SD WAN, Palo Alto firewalls, and Azure networking will be beneficial
