From site visits through to scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and much more - Fergus arranges all tasks in one place and gives our customers the insight they need to grow their business.

Founded in 2014 as the brainchild of Dan Pollard, a veteran NZ Tradie, who spent many years deep in the trenches. Eventually burning out and going bust, Dan realised that a trades business needs proper systems in place to keep it running without running its owner into the ground.

Fast-forward to today, we’re a Series B ($15m) global B2B SaaS business with offices in New Zealand (HQ), Australia and now a rapidly scaling team in Manchester, UK.

The opportunity:

Our UK Marketing Team is growing! We’re looking for a Content Marketer to create, implement and manage all marketing and product-related content. Think blog content, content assets, social media,, webinar production, video production etc, ensuring that Fergus is positioned as a thought-leader in the trade industry

Requirements

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating, implementing and managing all of the UK marketing and product-related content. You’ll be ensuring our written and video content resonates with our target audience (tradespeople), but positions Fergus as a thought-leader in the industry.
  • Strategising and generating a regular cadence of high quality informative / education content across video and written formats.
  • Working closely with the wider marketing team and other commercial teams at Fergus to craft organic content that improves Fergus SEO rankings and inevitably increases company revenue.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous commercial experience as a Content Marketer in a B2B SaaS environment (or previously worked for B2B SaaS clients) - this is absolutely key!
  • Prior demonstrable experience maintaining and building out educational content (written and video) and social strategies, showing you understand the bigger picture.
  • A portfolio of written work (blogs, editorial, website content, emails etc) and ideally video content (although this is not essential)
  • A flair for design would be hugely advantageous - if you’re a Canva, Adobe or Photoshop whizz please tell us!!
  • A good grasp of marketing analytics and good commercial acumen. You understand how the organic content you create has an impact on business goals.

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000

Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days in the Manchester city centre office (Tues, Wed, Thurs). You must be open to travel

Interview Process:

  1. Talent Team Screening (Video - 30 mins)
  2. Competency / Behavioural Interview with our Marketing Manager, Katie (F2F - 45 mins, including written presentation exercise - full details to be given during screening stage
  3. Peer / Cultural Meet with some of our Sales and CS Team (F2F for 20-30 mins, usually straight after the meet with Katie)
  4. Final Stage Interview with our Country Manager, James (F2F for 20-30 mins, usually straight after the Peer stage above)
