Telegraph Technology is looking for a Senior Technical Delivery Manager to work on our digital product portfolio - a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter who is comfortable taking on the responsibility of the delivery of projects and/or product initiatives across a number of technology delivery streams.
You'll have a passion for delivering complex digital projects, breaking down barriers for your projects, planning at a high level and getting into the detail to make things happen to deliver the business goals, as well as coordinating with senior stakeholders and engineering teams internally and externally.
Key ResponsibilitiesBe passionate about the craft of software delivery and have a strong understanding of the SDLC and agile methodologies.
Be an expert in estimating tools and techniques and facilitating workshops with your teams to produce delivery estimates that all the team commit to.
Be an expert in tracking and reporting tools and techniques keeping tight control on the progress of your projects and be able to communicate progress in a clear and timely manner.
Be a strong and confident stakeholder manager who provides clear written and oral communications to technical and non-technical audiences as the situation requires.A proactive and tenacious attitude regardless of the challenges that the business and/or your teams may face
Have 5+ years experience of digital product delivery in an e-commerce or media organisation working closely with Engineering, Product, Design and UX teams
Have 5+ years experience of agile delivery across multiple teams using Scrum and Kanban
Be a strong team worker and contributor with clear communication skills (oral and written) who has the ability to present to both a technical + non-technical audience and at the executive level
Desirable SkillsTime spent as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
Experience as a Delivery Manager and/or Project and/or Programme Manager
Experience in a Continuous Integration and Delivery environment
Strong technical working knowledge of one or more of the following - web technologies/app technologies/product APIs
