Job Description
We’re looking for you, a seasoned professional to lead our Mobile efforts at Packfleet and (in a year or two) build a team around you.
This is a role with an absolute level of ownership and autonomy. We’re a small team (just 5 engineers and 2 designers) and you’ll be our only Mobile engineer so nobody will be holding your hand.I used to be a Mobile engineer myselfso I’d be useful to help you bounce ideas on a whiteboard and review your PRs but that aside I’ll let you do your thing.
Our tech stack is nice and clean: native iOS apps for our drivers and warehouse folks built with SwiftUI and using a GraphQL API but you’ll be in charge of our future (we’re about to build an app for recipients too, maybe we expand to Android or React Native or something else).
A unique thing of this role is that our business happens in the real world (not just some boring SaaS) so you’ll get to tinker with things like external Bluetooth scanners (we use them to read QR codes at lighting speed), CarPlay in our vans and we have oureyeson Vision Pro as something that could revolutionise our warehouse operations. So yeah, it’s pretty special.
The role is in Bermondsey (London). We need you in the office at least 2 days a week (you need to be hands on) and our package is 100,000 and a good chunk of equity in a company that just made it to the #10 in Startups 2024.
