About the Legal Team
We are a global team of around 17 lawyers, with people in each of our key locations. Unlike other in-house roles, at SeedLegals, our lawyers are right in the middle of our products and services - helping to shape (at scale) the way in which companies raise money. In London we are split into three teams: GC, Legal Product and Advisory.
Whilst each team has a clear remit, we work collaboratively to continuously improve our products, deliver value to our clients and insulate the business from all the typical risks that high-growth tech companies face. SeedLegals offers its lawyers the chance to work in a variety of roles, all of which have a genuine and realisable impact on our revenue and growth - whilst we sell automated solutions, it is our outstanding team behind the scenes that create, maintain and support our platform products.
We are committed to continuous learning and development as a business and as a team: we have arrangements in place with leading tech law firms to place our team members on secondment so that they can keep current with market trends and continue building their network, a variety of on-line learning tools, a partnership with BARBRI, who deliver ongoing training and support to our team at all levels from SQE through to practical and management skills and, most importantly, we learn from each other in a psychologically safe space in which no idea is too outrageous to be given air time. Our global team all contribute to this learning environment, sharing ideas and best practice.

About the Role
SeedLegals has launched a new service to augment our platform offering for funding rounds: SeedLegals Advisory. We recognise that companies and investors require human-lawyer advice to complete complex, high value rounds, in addition to benefiting from a high degree of automation. Our solution is to offer a blended service of human and platform support to our users, and this is where you come in. The service has been in hot demand since inception in 2023, during which we closed over 2 dozen rounds for some of the most innovative companies in the UK alongside some of the leading funds. We are looking for a confident, dynamic VC lawyer that is passionate about helping companies grow and succeed and that has a genuine interest in delivering a top quality service with tech and automation at its core.
You will work in the Advisory Team alongside some truly talented lawyers, providing direct advice and support to our VC Advisory clients (startups, scaleups and on the investor side) on their funding rounds. You’ll work with top UK and international funds and many of the UK’s most innovative companies. Perhaps most excitingly, you will help us shape the strategy for this new service and be at the forefront of an exciting new business line. When you’re not working on deals or strategy (which you will play a key role in), you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to our knowledge bank, product roadmap and much more (you can even learn to code).
The role offers a truly unique opportunity to work in an in-house environment at a thriving global scale-up, whilst also benefiting from the challenges and excitement of a top-tier traditional transactional VC role. The role also gives you the opportunity to really be an insider in the VC world - our Advisory Team all positively comment on the difference between networking when working at a scaleup, as opposed to being a private practice lawyer. We are deeply connected to the high growth and VC world and actively encourage whole-team attendance at the numerous high growth/VC business development events in London, and throughout the UK.
