As a leader in the Change function, the Head of Product will play a pivotal role in helping Target achieve its objectives by transforming Target into a product orientated organisation. You will complete the formation of a Product Team, containing Product Managers and Owners, and define its ways of working. The Product Team’s goal will be to identify, deliver, sustain (and ultimately retire) products that create genuine competitive advantage and generate the most profitable revenue for Target, whilst staying aligned to its overall market strategy.
With the support of the wider business, the team will define and execute product visions, strategies, and roadmaps, covering both the technology and business aspects enabling the expected service for clients and customers. The Team will also be responsible for communicating the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and ensuring that the product is delivered on time and within budget. When successful, the Team will support the transfer of knowledge to the Implementation Team and stay involved in the implementation to ensure the product vision is delivered as expected.
Target runs a number of bespoke solutions for its clients. The Product Team will also own these solutions and apply product thinking to them and align them, as a much as possible, to core, strategic solutions.
