In 2024, we are launching a strategic partnership with a transformational UK university and looking for talented, ambitious individuals to grow our team. You will be joining OES at an exciting time with significant opportunities for professional growth, creativity, and impact.

This position is a hybrid role based in OES’ Birmingham office (2-3 days per week) with the remainder working from your home.

Join our team as a People amp; Culture Business Partner, where you will play a pivotal role in providing HR Generalist support and guidance to employees and key stakeholders and lead the execution of end-to-end management of Talent Acquisition across various departments. It is a role that will see you partner with the whole business and give you access to work with Senior Leaders you can really make your mark in this role.

Acting as a strategic partner, you will collaborate closely with the business to implement local HR solutions, ensuring alignment with wider people initiatives across OES globally.

Your scope of influence will span the entire employee life cycle, encompassing Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition and onboarding, as well as offering expert advice and support on employee relations.

Requirements

As People amp; Culture Business Partner you will;

  • Build a vibrant and values led culture that creates a great place to work and a strong people focus
  • Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition for OES UK based roles; sourcing talented people who excel in their area of expertise and are a strong cultural fit.
  • Manage the onboarding of new starters to provide a positive employee experience.
  • Coach, mentor and assist managers to support with developing and engaging their teams. 
  • Develop and implement people initiatives to enhance the employee experience and development opportunities for our people.
  • Update and implement HR policies, practices, contracts and people related programs as required and ensure ER advice is provided in line with relevant legislation.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to increase engagement and work with line managers to implement action plans
  • Work with the Australian team to manage all remuneration matters.
  • Manage the day to day operations including management of the HRIS and administration for UK employees

Skills amp; Experience

  • Proven experience in similar role in a commercial setting, preferably in a multi national organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience of developing and embedding HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience in talent acquisition including establishing talent pipeline and championing best practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • CIPD or a tertiary qualification in HR is desired.
