Job Description

You will work with a team based in the Netherlands to assist YouWe’s UK offices with local legislation and its’ challenges. A great opportunity to work in a diverse, inclusive environment to assist our employees.

The Opportunity

The role focuses on our two of our UK offices, Leeds and Shrewbury, where you will support staff together with our Ops Manager. Your role will allow and encourage you to take care of the employees and make decisions with a business perspective in mind. You will navigate the local labor law, work independently and interact with numerous employees and stakeholders.

Your role as an HR Advisor at Youwe

Working with the rest of our HR team you will be the owner of our UK HR Operations ensuring that we are legally compliant and we have the right systems and processes to support the smooth running of the department. You will provide sound and timely HR Advice on policy, process, employment law and best practice. This includes, but is not limited to: probationary reviews, absence management, the disciplinary process; handling grievances, performance management, the redundancy process amongst others.

Moreover, you will create and develop effective working relationships, be a trusted partner for our employees and stakeholders alike.

Who you are

You are decisive, self-driven and know when to reach out to your team and or the Operations Manager for assistance. You are a problem solver who can help resolve issues by taking a people-first approach. Additionally, you are business-minded and understand the key drivers of a business

What you have
  • Proven experience working as an HR Generalist in a fast paced and professional environment and have the confidence to drive initiatives to a high standard
  • Excellent employee relations knowledge. You are able to run the core HR processes: redundancies, Tupe transfers, disciplinaries, grievances and dismissals with little support
  • Knowledge and experience of the UK employment and labor law
  • Excellent oral and written communication style
  • Ability to build strong and effective relationships
  • CIPD certified, and if not, this will be part of your development
  • Ability to work flexibly in an agile way in order to meet deadlines and respond positively and constructively to feedback
