The role of Nursery Chef

Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people are at the core of everything we do! As the Nursery Chef, you'll be more than just a chef; you'll be an ambassador for our values, and a gatekeeper for our vibrant culture. You’ll take the lead in ensuring the children are fuelled with wholesome food throughout the day. Your role goes beyond cooking as you’ll be an advocate for nutritious meals, communicating this to both children and parents.

The food you’ll prepare will be provided by our food partner, which you’ll compliment by creating healthy and filling snacks, nourishing the children to empower their learning and play. You’ll take the reins in the kitchen, ensuring it's a pristine and hygienic space for food prep, owning tasks like washing up, sterilising and general cleaning.

You’ll be proud of operating to the highest standards complying with Health amp; Safety, Environmental Health and COSHH regulations. By building strong relationships with the wider team, you’ll ensure standards are maintained throughout the nursery.

What we’re looking for

About Kido Tooting

Our Tooting nursery is a beautiful spacious setting situated in a stunning Grade II Listed Church Hall in the heart of Tooting. We nurture, educate and develop just over 90 children, watching them thrive from babies until they are ready for big school! Bathed in natural light, our large kitchen and outdoor garden become an exploration hub for children to learn in. As one proud parent recently shared, Fantastic setting for our little boy with incredible staff who really seem to care. Our little boy loves his teachers and can't wait to go each day. They do so many different activities to keep the children stimulated and encourage learning.
