The Role:

As a Global Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the entire accounts payable function on a global scale. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all vendor payments, maintain compliance with financial regulations, and implement efficient accounts payable processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across various regions.

Role Accountabilities:

Leadership and Team Management

Lead and manage a global accounts payable team of 2 Accounts Payable Supervisors supported by a world-class accounts payable team, ensuring optimal performance, motivation, and professional development. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment to achieve team objectives.

Process Optimisation

Design, implement, and enhance global accounts payable processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to drive operational excellence.

Vendor Management

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with global vendors to facilitate smooth communication and issue resolution.

Financial Compliance

Ensure compliance with international accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls related to accounts payable processes. Collaborate with audit teams to support audit activities and implement corrective actions as needed.

Reporting and Analyses

Generate regular reports on accounts payable metrics, including aging analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide insightful analysis to support decision-making and identify trends or areas for improvement.

Global Collaboration

Provide guidance and support to regional finance teams to ensure consistency and compliance in accounts payable practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement, and IT, to streamline end-to-end processes and enhance overall fiscal management.

Technology Integration

Leverage Oracle NetSuite and SAP Concur to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance data accuracy. Stay abreast of technological advancements, recommending and implementing relevant tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Risk Management

Identify potential risks within the accounts payable function and develop and implement mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues related to fraud, compliance, and other risks to safeguard the fiscal interests of Charlotte Tilbury.

Continuous Improvement

Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the accounts payable team, encouraging innovation and the pursuit of operational excellence. Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate relevant improvements into the accounts payable processes.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Head of Finance Shared Services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, CMA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in accounts payable management with a global focus.
  • Strong understanding of international accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software. Experience using NetSuite and SAP Concur a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to change and drive process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment
