Job Description

Eurosafe UK is the specialist health and safety and fire-safety division of Tersus Consultancy. We are seeking to recruit an additional fire risk assessor in the Midlands, due to our expanding order book. Successful candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience providing fire risk assessments, have obtained a relevant fire safety qualification and ideally be registered with one of the recognised schemes identified within the Fire Risk Assessment Competency Council Criteria.

After the completion of your auditing, you will become fully authorised to conduct fire risk assessments and other fire safety services, for our range of commercial and domestic clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • To provide fire risk assessments across a range of property types including retail, warehousing/distribution centres and domestic environments.
  • Potentially to provide additional fire safety services such as fire compartmentation surveys or fire door audits and providing ad-hoc fire safety advice.
  • Working with our other health and safety consultants and CDM advisors, providing optimal fire safety advice on a variety of different projects.
  • To proactively engage in the training and development provided by the company.
  • To uphold the Code of Conduct and the requirements of the company as instructed
  • To support the business by working flexibly and responsively from the company’s office or from client’s sites as required.
  • To be proactive to ensure that work is delivered on time by all areas of the business.

Experience and skills required:

  • Relevant fire safety qualification (such as NEBOSH (fire), FPA qualifications or CFPA diploma)
  • Ideally registered with one of the recognised schemes identified within the Fire Risk Assessment Competency Council Criteria.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a fire safety related role.
  • DSEAR experience would be beneficial
  • IT literate with experience using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen, motivated and reliable.
  • Willing to undertake a DBS check prior to starting in the position.
