We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Engineering Manager with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, responsible for all engineering support services across multiple factories / facilities.

This role will report to the Senior Leadership Team and has significant autonomy in leading the Engineering Support Team and driving efficient service provision across the business.

What you will do:

• Shape the engineering strategy for the team to maximise performance and streamline service delivery

• Establish and uphold high standards of safety performance and compliance within the extended team.

• Deliver planning function for Engineering. Drive outage performance, active back log management and services provision.

• Engage with the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to optimise outage duration and frequency for the business.

• Lead the team to drive our Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to deliver minimal total cost of ownership.

• Take ownership and continuously update our asset plan to ensure its relevance and longevity for the next 5 years.

• Manage the Interface for our Mechanical and Electrical Incumbent Service Provider, reviewing performance, ensuring key targets are met

• Revitalise and strengthen the Engineering team by championing succession planning, spearheading recruitment efforts, and driving our dynamic apprentice scheme.

The key ingredients

• Be motivated to provide exceptional leadership and management skills, ensuring the team performs at its best and achieves continuous growth and improvement.

• Proven track record of successfully implementing strategic initiatives with significant impact.

• Experience in successfully leading and achieving outstanding results on complex projects.

• Understanding and application of maintenance engineering best practices such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance).

• Relevant experience in the food or process industry.

• Results oriented with the ability to plan and deliver KPI targets

• Commitment to team working, workplace safety and overall product quality.

• Good understanding of LEAN and Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies

The Recruitment process

We will aim to shortlist within 1 week of application. For those shortlisted we anticipate interviews will commence early February with an initial Teams interview followed by an Interview in person at our offices in Burton Latimer which will include a site tour.

We may also ask you to come in again and meet a member of the Senior Leadership Team to ask any remaining questions you may have and understand fully how our business works.
