The Opportunity:

An Opportunity has arisen to join the Chief Information Officer’s (CIO’s) group as IT Procurement amp; Finance Manager.

Reporting to the CIO you will be accountable for building out the procurement function and maintaining the finance forecasting, budgeting, and planning of the CIO’s organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build out the Internal IT Procurement function to support the costs under Management of the Group Technology Function.
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the Company's and Technology departments for overall goals and budget.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers, evaluating their quality, reliability, and pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order to payment.
  • Monitor and analyse supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage risk proactively, mitigating potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Manage the Financial Reporting Responsibilities within the CIO Organisation.
  • Partner with the Finance group to maintain an accurate forecast for the financial year and manage the annual budgeting processes for the CIO Technology Organisation.
  • Manage and communicate status and summary reporting on contract status, supplier spend and budgeting and forecasting.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Works co-operatively with all stakeholders within a matrix environment to meet mutual goals.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills amp; Behaviours:

  • Experience in procurement within an IT Organisation,with a proven track record of success in cost savings and supplier management.
  • A degree in business administration,supply chain management,or a related field would be desirable.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and data analysis tools.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to see the big picture.
  • Team player with strong leadership qualities.
  • Solid knowledge of technology, license management and technology environments.
  • Proactive and not fazed by complexity, uncertainty or the fast-paced environment of a private equity-backed organisation.
  • Works co-operatively with all stakeholders to meet mutual goals and seeks out and shares inputs from others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborates, is inclusive of all ideas, yet leads from the front against set business goals.
  • A team player, who is eager to work with us to deliver our mission.
