Location: Skelmersdale

Your dream role:

We are looking for a commercially minded FPamp;A Analyst to join our established Finance team in Skelmersdale. In this exciting opportunity, your number one priority will be to support the FPamp;A function whilst being responsible for managing the central overheads forecast as well as supporting the ledgers administration process.
Day to day activities:

  • Completion of the overhead forecasting processes monthly for the central functions in UK Bus. This will include monthly meetings with budget holders, analysis of spend incurred in the prior period and variance to forecast analysis.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget (AOP)
  • Provide support with the UK Bus Overhead consolidation
  • Support the GRNI cleardown process
  • Support the ledgers administration function
  • Provide support to engineering finance for grant applications and ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Ad hoc tasks as required for the FPamp;A team including support with group company (NFI) requests and initiatives
  • Provide support to the wider ADL finance team with ad hoc requests or projects as required

What you will bring:

  • To be successful, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar role, as defined in this advert where you have had experience in a large company with global sites and divisions.
  • If you have begun studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA it would be highly advantageous or if you are a recent graduate in a relevant finance or accountancy field, we would love to hear from you!
  • Ideally your work experience will have been gained in the automotive industry, however we would also welcome those from other similarly fast-moving engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • You should have strong financial/ERP software experience ideally Syspro amp; Hyperion.
  • You will have a high level of Microsoft skills, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • You will have an enquiring and analytical mind, with a willingness to challenge accepted practices.
  • You will be highly motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • The ability to comprehensively understand, deeply analyse problems/data and provide commercially sound recommendations/conclusions is essential for this position.
  • Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to independently build relationships and work cross functionally with all levels of the business.
