The Client Development Manager (CDM) holds accountability for formulating and executing the strategy to identify and generate commercial opportunities. This individual is focused on fostering the growth of existing client revenue within a designated portfolio. The role involves making decisions to enhance product adoption across our client base, working in tandem with the relevant Customer Success Manager (CSM) team member.
While the CSM remains responsible for the utilisation of our platform and products, as well as maintaining ongoing client relationships, the Client Development Manager assumes a pivotal role in steering the overall client development strategy. Both the CDM and CSM collaborate closely to proactively identify and generate leads within their specific portfolios, leveraging their collective expertise.
The Client Development Manager takes charge of researching and targeting potential opportunities within the assigned book of business, collaborating closely with the CSM team. As the designated Subject Matter Expert on Feefo products, encompassing both existing offerings and those outlined in the Feefo product roadmap, the CDM spearheads efforts to drive new product adoption and grow revenue, thereby contributing significantly to overall client retention.
They excel in liaising with clients, including senior-level and mid-level customers, effectively communicating our product suite, and initiating upsell deals with decision-makers. They provide constructive feedback to internal teams, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with client needs.
The CDM strategically aligns Feefo products with specific sectors, enhancing upselling opportunities and demonstrating creativity with regard to opportunity generation.
They will actively support the Client Development Consultant in various aspects of line management, including issue resolution, handling commercials, conducting regular one-to-one meetings, and overseeing personal development.
