Job Description

Job Title: Internal Communications Advisor

Salary range: 32,000 to 36,000 per annum

Location: Bristol

Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office and working from home.

Closing date for this role is 14th February but we would encourage early applications

As part of the Executive Office, we provide communications expertise, guidance and support to our colleagues, working on numerous projects simultaneously, from large scale events to content editing and copywriting.

Your knowledge of internal communications best practice and experience in project management will help us make best use of multiple channels to communicate with our internal audiences.

You’ll be someone who is ‘hands-on’, who thrives on creating engaging content and managing projects. An interest in creating exciting visual content would be an added bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the People Communications and Engagement Leads as part of the Executive Office.
  • Advise the business about best practice internal communications and appropriate use of channels.
  • Work closely with communications colleagues in our global parent company, KBR.
  • Manage multiple communications and engagement projects simultaneously.
  • Copywriting and editing across all our internal channels.
  • Manage reactive, ad-hoc and urgent requests for communications support.
  • Lead and manage face-to-face and digital events, using Microsoft tools.
  • Build surveys for use in communications projects.
  • Extend the reach of our people stories on our external social channels and careers pages.
  • Provide communications support for strategic and corporate communication.
  • Source and share good news stories across all channels.
  • Support the maintenance of the communications and engagement calendar of activity.
  • Liaise with external communications colleagues to create consistency and ensure content reach is maximised.
  • Occasional travel to other UK offices.

Requirements

The successful applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:

• Previous experience in an internal communications/marketing role.

• High standard of written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to transform challenging technical content into clear, concise and engaging copy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.

• High levels of enthusiasm, accuracy, drive and ambition.

• Good project management experience with the ability to work on multiple projects, to tight deadlines and to a high standard. • Professional, organised and creative, with experience delivering successful content for digital and non-digital communications channels.

• Experience working with SharePoint and Microsoft Office.

It is to your advantage if you meet any or all the following additional requirements:

• Previous experience within the Engineering or Management Consultancy Sector.

• Evidence of CPD in the field of internal communications would be advantageous.

• Design and/or video content creation/editing capability.

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
