As a Junior Marketing Technology Engineer, your role will be integral within our CRM Cloud ETL Development team, tasked with the implementation and oversight of dynamic marketing technology solutions for our esteemed clients. While the initial focus will be on SQL-based tasks, this role offers an exciting avenue for growth into cloud computing, cloud ETL, and associated services provided by industry leaders like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Requirements
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- SQL Development:Craft robust SQL scripts, queries, views, and stored procedures to efficiently manipulate and retrieve data from diverse sources.
- ETL Process Development:Design, develop, and rigorously test ETL processes, predominantly cloud-based, to seamlessly extract, transform, and load data into target systems.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders across departments to comprehend data requirements thoroughly and devise optimal solutions to address business needs effectively.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data through meticulous testing and validation procedures.
- Performance Optimization: Enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of ETL processes through continuous optimization efforts.
- Monitoring and Error Handling: Implement robust monitoring and error-handling mechanisms to ensure the smooth execution of ETL jobs and promptly address any anomalies.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve data integration and ETL process-related issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize disruptions.
- Documentation and Version Control: Thoroughly document processes according to company standards, encompassing technical specifications, data mappings, and workflow diagrams, and maintain all work in a designated source control repository.
- Post-Implementation Support: Provide ongoing support for implemented processes post-go-live and proactively implement enhancements to optimize performance and functionality.
- Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in cloud data integration to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Research and Development: Participate in research and development initiatives focused on evaluating and integrating new technologies and tools to enhance data integration capabilities.

Requirements:
- Proficiency in SQL Development: Demonstrated expertise in SQL development, encompassing ad-hoc SQL, stored procedures, functions, and other querying techniques.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server:Proven track record of working with Microsoft SQL Server, preferably proficient in T-SQL scripting and administration.
- Database Design and Data Modelling: Understanding and practical experience in database design principles and data modelling methodologies.
- ETL Conceptual Proficiency:Comprehensive understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) concepts, along with familiarity with industry best practices.
