At Scanning Pens, we're pioneers in assistive reading technology, and we're in search of a visionary Business Development Executive to join our esteemed team. As the driving force behind our efforts in the Vulnerable Adult Sector, you will not only spearhead business development and sales but also play a crucial role in sculpting the trajectory of vulnerable adults in the UK. By fostering enduring relationships with:

  • Adult Education training providers
  • Job Centres
  • Work-based Learning Support
  • HMPPS amp; Private Prisons (both as service providers and employers)
  • Young Offenders (YO and HM YOI)
  • Individuals not in employment, education, or training (NEET)

You will embody independence, passion, and expertise, serving as the guiding light in our mission to effect profound and positive change for those who need it most.

INDSP

Responsibilities

Once you get to know our product, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Driving growth by identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities and training partnerships.
  • Surpassing targets and serving as the driving force behind the success of the business.
  • Collaborating with existing training partners to enhance awareness and provide exceptional customer support.
  • Cultivating meaningful relationships within the vulnerable adult sectors to deliver service that leaves a lasting impact.
  • Sourcing new business opportunities and partnerships, organising potential sales leads, and actively following up through various channels including visits, phone calls, webinars, emails, and social media.
  • Collaborating with the UK Country Manager on sales and training activities, including visits, phone calls, emails, trade shows, tie-ins, and dynamic training sessions.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective business strategies.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities that keep us ahead of the competition.
  • Representing the company with pride as an ambassador at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a sales role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to enhance sales performance and achieve targets effectively.
  • Proven track record in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional customer support skills, committed to delivering outstanding service to clients.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to foster meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to collaborate with current training partners to expand awareness and drive growth.
  • Team-oriented mindset, capable of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using own initiative to research and pinpoint new market trends.
  • Experience in addressing the complexities of supporting disadvantaged adults, troubled youths, residential homes, or addressing substance misuse is (desirable but not essential)
