About the Role
We are seeking a Platform Engineer for the first state-backed organisation focused on advanced AI safety for the public interest. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for developing evaluation tools for advanced AI systems. This role involves creating expert interfaces, developing secure inference channels, and implementing MLOps capabilities. The Platform Engineer will collaborate with scientists, domain experts, and research engineers to develop new evaluation tools and ensure privacy and security. The role also involves working with custom and open-source frameworks and delivering a reliable platform for the institute.
Requirements
- Experience in web development, tools development, application frontend development, UX design, and UX research.
- Expertise in UX design principles and methodologies with a focus on complex expert workflows.
- Experience in developing and maintaining design systems and standards for machine learning tools and platforms.
- Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience in conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to refine designs.
- Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
- Proven track record of collaborating with developers, designers, and expert users.
- Ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and adapt in a changing environment.
- Strong sense of mission, urgency, and responsibility for success.
