About our opportunity

Vero HR has ambitious growth plans for the future and as such are now looking to hire an experienced and pragmatic Health and Safety Consultant.

You will play a key role in delivering a consultative and tailored Health and Safety advisory service to our clients.

This is a rare opportunity not only to deliver a hands-on service, direct to the client but also to apply your skills and knowledge across a variety of sectors with regular on-site presence at client premises.

The Health and Safety Consultant will be responsible for;

• Providing advice and support to clients in respect of their health and safety obligations
• Conducting health and safety audits and implementing improvement actions
• Advising on safety measures to reduce the frequency and risk of workplace accidents and injuries
• Delivering health and safety training as and when required
• Providing general health and safety consultancy services

In addition, you will act as the subject matter expert supporting our team of HR professionals on HR casework that requires health and safety advice.

You will be given a lot of responsibility and exposure to the wider strategic aspects of the business, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to accelerate their career in Hamp;S.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

If you are a successful Health and Safety professional with a consultative, service led approach and are looking for an exciting new challenge where you can really make your mark, we want to hear from you.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience as a Health and Safety specialist or consultant
• Generalist knowledge of Health and Safety across a range of sectors
• Superb interpersonal skills, able to build credibility and trust at all levels quickly
• Strong technical knowledge
• IOSH, NEBOSH qualifications
