We are now seeking an organised, personable and adaptable HR Advisor to join our team. Within this role you will have the opportunity to cover a wide range of HR activities - it's the ideal role for a Senior HR Coordinator who is looking to take the next step up in their HR career!

Location:Hybrid (2 days per week in our Cambridge office)
Type:Full time

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our in-house recruiter to enhance the candidate recruitment amp; onboarding experience.
  • Oversee the HR employee amp; contractor lifecycle including offers, contracts, onboarding, HR inductions, flexible working requests, amendments, maternity, paternity and leavers processes.
  • Manage the probation period for new hires.
  • Conduct exit interviews, identifying and summarising areas of success and concern.
  • Maintain HR systems and records accurately.
  • Prepare payroll data, ensuring accuracy before submission, in collaboration with the HR Manager.
  • Develop and administer employee benefits associated with payroll.
  • Communicate with external benefit providers and handle monthly benefits reporting.
  • Manage annual mandatory employee training.
  • Facilitate the performance review process, analysing feedback and presenting trends/concerns to the HR Director.
  • Assist the HR team in organisational design and restructuring efforts.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers in the employee relations process.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for both new and existing employees.
  • Support the annual pay review process.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director and HR Manager on operational activities and projects.
  • Identify and escalate issues to the HR Director or HR Manager as needed.
  • Gather data for annual ISO audits, following provided guidelines.
  • Liaise with Finance, IT and other stakeholders to meet business requirements effectively.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Working experience in a HR role, with a relevant qualification (or working towards one).
  • Proficient in using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), with preference given to experience with Workable.
  • Familiarity with an HR Information System (HRIS), with preference for experience with HiBob.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of employment law and best practices.
  • Practical and logical approach to tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to follow standard operating procedures, and an understanding of the importance of this when working within a regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

Desirable:

  • Experience in the health tech industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis.
  • Confidence to challenge existing practices within HR and the wider organisation.
  • Understanding of GDPR requirements within an HR function.
