Job Description

Target Group are a leading business services provider in lending, investments and insurance, creating value for our clients through digital customer journey, outsourcing and operational transformation.

As the Head of Growth, you will lead the growth of the Target Group franchise in financial services and adjacent sectors by landing new business leads and expanding our offering to existing clients.

The role covers all aspects of originating and winning new business, including the development of go-to-market propositions, enhancing the awareness and reputation of Target in our marketplace, and being a visible ambassador for Target developing relationships with decision makers in the sector. With Target being a 100%-owned subsidiary of Tech Mahindra, we are seeking to further leverage relevant group wide capabilities to create a leading offering to the Financial Services market.

We have franchise growth opportunities with existing clients as well as with firms where Target has no previous commercial relationship. As Head of Growth you’ll proactively seek to identify and secure new revenue generating opportunities within our diverse and growing client franchise.

As a senior leader you’ll build advocacy amongst our colleagues for our strategic vision, our go-to-market propositions, and our plans for future growth.

As this is a regulated role (SMF18) you’ll be expected to operate in accordance with SMCR practices and contribute to the success of the wider business. You’re required to complete and keep up to date your reasonable steps, handover document and job description. You’re also expected to make sure you have the right amount of assurance, controls, and data to support your reasonable steps.

Day to day responsibilities include:

People

  • Ensure that direct reports are developed and motivated to deliver to individual, departmental, and wider company objectives.
  • Ensure succession plans are effective and up to date.
  • Ensure high levels of staff motivation and morale and provide them with regular and effective communication.
  • Ensure that appropriate reward and recognition schemes are implemented and regularly reviewed, including bonus and commission schemes, to drive generation of new profitable business whilst ensuring the correct behaviours are encouraged.
  • Embed the culture and values of Target throughout the organisation, behaving as a role model at all times.
  • Ensure people perform to their full potential through effective coaching and management, maximising learning and development and career opportunities.

Customer amp; Client

  • Lead the promotion of Target’s vision, successfully generating revenue with new prospects and existing clients through Target’s transformational services which add value in line with company strategy and objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners, investors and corporate prospects ensuring they are fully briefed of Target’s proposition.
  • Collaborate with the wider Client Development/Bid teams, as well as other relevant Target amp; Tech Mahindra teams to support strategic account plans and develop broader and deeper awareness of Target’s proposition, ensuring Target is considered as a strategic partner to expand the client’s business.
  • Ensure high conversion rate of propositions pitched, whilst working collaboratively to identify and eliminate gaps
  • Working closely with Tech M toward combined provision of services which will be attractive to prospects and clients.
  • Using internal and external intelligence to conceive collaborative propositions with Tech M to maximise the capability of both organisations.

Financial

  • Work with the Group Board to develop Strategy and plans to deliver that strategy, taking ownership of all topics related to the business development agenda.
  • Engage with the Finance and Commercial teams to ensure all new and existing commercial and contractual arrangements are profitable and contribute to the growth of Target
  • Maximise revenue growth and margin by fully understanding the markets in which Target operates and the needs of potential clients.
  • Lead all external corporate and public relations and capture opportunities which will support growth of the business.
  • Lead and direct the sales and marketing and bid/commercial approaches likely to be the most effective for transformational and services solutions and different markets to generate leads through to new sales.
  • Manage the Growth budget to support the activities of the functions ensuring sufficient and appropriate governance.
