Job Description

Future PLC requires a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst for its Consumer division. Future Plc is a global platform for specialist media, home to some of the world’s most famous website brands including Techradar, GamersRadar, Golf Monthly and Homes and Gardens.

The role is responsible for providing financial support to the Vertical Managing Directors (VMDs) for the division. Producing month end reporting decks and analysis on headcount and overhead spend, this role will be a key point of contact for the business.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager for Consumer, the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst will manage month end reporting amp;amp; analysis for the Consumer division. They will be producing decks for Monthly Business Reviews, forecasting and budgeting overhead spend and supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in producing more ad hoc analysis supporting the business GAS strategy.

Month end Reporting amp; Analysis

  • Support Management Accounting hub with maintaining accuracy of month end overhead review files, supporting the Commercial Finance Manager on resolving any queries
  • Understanding horizontal performance for revenue, cost of sale and commercial recharges to assist in delivering meaningful analysis of results of the full Pamp;L Support Commercial Finance manager in preparing performance analysis and commentary versus budget / forecast/ YoY.
  • Support VMDs in understanding variances relating to the brand and vertical Pamp;L's and aid in commentary for monthly review packs

Management Accounting

  • Responsible for the posting of adjustments to the Consumer vertical overheads
  • Ensure that proper records and reconciliations are maintained to support the company financial records (Pamp;L and Balance Sheet)
  • Monitor business as usual financial processes and controls and drive continuous improvement to maximise efficiency and effectiveness

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • Experienced, part-qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills with an aptitude for collaboration and share knowledge sharing
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo, balanced with providing guidance to the business
  • Positive mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Intermediate/ Advanced excel/ google sheet
  • Proactive and able to work independently

This is a Hybrid role from our Bath Office, working three days from the office, two from home
