Job Description

As a result of continued growth, Medvivo are seeking to recruit an Urgent Care Assistant to undertake driving and receptionist duties to support the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care services across Wiltshire, Swindon and Bath and North East Somerset.

The Role:

As an Urgent Care Assistant, you will be required to undertake a dual role of driving and reception work to support the efficient operation of Integrated Urgent Care services across the South West.

This is a permanent part-time position to cover weekend overnight shifts at our base in Keynsham as part of our 4 week rolling rota. Our overnight shifts are based around a 23:00-08:00 work pattern.

Your key duties will include:

  • Driving clinicians to visit patients at home across the locality.
  • Performing regular checks of drugs, stock and equipment for the service vehicle.
  • Assisting with the handling of calls, including contacting patients to check on their welfare whilst awaiting a call back from the clinician.
  • Providing a first point of contact to patients arriving at their dedicated Out of Hours base.
  • Other general administrative and reception duties.

As someone who is well organized, hardworking and personable, you will be joining an established team of close-knit and hardworking colleagues who make a real difference and play a key role supporting the Integrated Urgent Care service.

You will be need to:

  • Confidently interact with patients, relatives and carers.
  • Demonstrate compassion and respect.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Have strong administration skills.
  • Be personable, engaging and reassuring.
  • Work confidently under pressure and act professionally in emergency or sometimes stressful situations.

Please note a full UK Driving License is essential for this role and you should possess a good level of driving experience.
