Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative Copywriter and Communications Executive to join our marketing and communications team. You will be responsible for researching and crafting compelling and engaging content that resonates with our target audiences and can be used across various channels. From articles and reports to web copy and promotional materials, you will have a passion for storytelling and the ability to communicate brand messages effectively.
This is an exciting time for CIMSPA, with a new seven-year strategy and multiple business critical projects to deliver. At the heart of that is the need to engage our stakeholders and audiences through a wide range of activity, which is underpinned by our established and trusted brand.
The Copywriter and Communications Executive will play an important role in supporting our marketing and communications activity by creating and editing written content that enables us to tell our stakeholders about the great work that we do. You will work closely with the marketing and communications team to create written copy for a wide range of assets and projects and edit content supplied by others ensuring consistency and adherence to our brand.
You must be confident in working on multiple projects, have the ability to understand a wide variety of audiences and their motivations, and be able to make complex concepts understandable.
You will need to have outstanding writing skills, a very keen eye for detail and the ability to assimilate information quickly.
CIMSPA has a huge number of fantastic stories to tell about how sport and physical activity professionals deliver enormous value to society in terms of social, health, wellbeing, and economic benefits. We are building a multi-disciplinary marketing and communications team to enable us to do that. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Marketing and Communications and the rest of the team to support the implementation of our strategic aims.

Key tasks include but are not limited to:
- Research, write, edit, and proofread various types of content, including news articles, website copy, case studies, reports, whitepapers, blog posts and promotional materials, while ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Creating compelling, clear, and concise copy and content that positively demonstrate CIMSPAs work, the impact of our members and partners and the sport and physical activity workforce.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop content plans that align with our brand goals, target audience, and engagement best practices.
- Co-ordinate projects which require content to be sourced from multiple providers and editing provided copy to ensure that it conveys key themes effectively e.g. newsletters, publications etc.
- Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics and stay up to date with the latest trends and developments to create content that resonates with our target audiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote content through various channels, including social media platforms, email campaigns, and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure that copy complements and enhances the visual elements of projects.
