Job Description

About Us

YouLend is a rapidly growing FinTech Company that is the preferred embedded financing platform for many of the world’s leading e-commerce sites, tech companies and payment services providers. Our software platform enables our partners to offer flexible financing products in their own branding to their merchant base without capital at risk.

We believe that the future of financial services will be delivered by customer-oriented tech companies that embed financing in their customer journeys, and we are building the solutions that will power that future.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join us as our first Data Product Manager. You will report to our Platform Product Lead and partner with the Head of Data to define the future of our Data platform and ensure that the team are always working on the most impactful priorities. Data is a critical part of our continued ambitious growth (gt;doubling each year) and with gt;50,000 businesses funded and several 100M flowing through our platform every month, we have a lot of data to work with.

Requirements

  • Integrate Data more closely with the rest of Tech (Software, QA, Platform, Product) to ensure that we can continue moving fast even as our data apps become part of our customer-facing production platform.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our external (partners and merchants) and internal (e.g. Capital Markets team, Product team) users’ needs and pain points and use that knowledge to inform data product decisions and setting the long-term roadmap for Data.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle within Data.
  • Define, track, and report on key impact metrics and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and that the Data platform is meeting their needs.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and leverage that knowledge to inform your product roadmap

Essential Skills

  • Experience working as a Data Product Managerincl. managingend-to-end product development lifecycles and prioritising and defining roadmaps.
  • High agency and ownership mentality.
  • Experience with the modern data stack, ideally Fivetran, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. As in most product roles, you will have ‘responsibility without direct authority’, so it’s essential that you are able to motivate and earn the trust of stakeholders and teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous software/data engineering experience (e.g. via a degree or previous work experience).
  • Experience in a fast-paced start up environment.
