THE ROLE.

Product Managers play a key role in supporting the overall success of their product line. The Product Manager will work with a team of Product Managers and Product Designers to define the user requirements and use cases for the portfolio, clearly communicate the customer value and support the successful delivery of the product plans.

The Product Manager is responsible for establishing product requirements that align to market opportunities, as defined by the Senior Product Manager - Timeline Tools, effectively communicating those requirements across the business and externally, and guiding the development of solutions and initiatives that answer these requirements.

You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, with the ability to communicate well with all areas of the company, a big-picture vision for workflows and product use cases, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market, with customers and partners, to understand their needs and problems, in order to gather the data to validate and justify business cases and performance.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Work with other Product Managers, Senior PMs, and objective owners to ensure work is aligned with product and strategic objectives
    • Own one or more Nuke scrum team objective(s)
    • Translate product strategy into features and requirements that add value to existing and potential users, grow market share and improve customer experience across the product line, using appropriate product techniques and frameworks and incorporating a wide range of input from the market and internal stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of the market and production workflows
    • Gaining a deep understanding of relevant customer needs, identifying and filling product gaps by generating new ideas and expanding existing ideas
    • Support in prioritising market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits and interactions with customers and prospects
    • Uncover urgent customer problems and validate potential solutions.
    • Document and communicate customer feedback, user needs, and workflows for the product and engineering teams and the wider business
    • Act as an Agile product owner on at least 1 Scrum team:
      • Act as a subject matter expert for the development team and product designers, clearly defining and communicating customer and business objectives, target use cases, and additional context to assist the team in successfully delivering the feature roadmap
      • Clearly prioritise development efforts using good business judgement; taking into account business and technical objectives and constraints, customer value and urgency, along with quality and user experience requirements
      • Own and maintain the team’s product backlog to reflect priority changes and addition of new features
      • Attend and be the voice of the customer in all relevant meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives
      • In partnership with the team’s Lead Engineer and Senior QA, understand technical requirements, and track progress.
    • Support the Senior Product Manager and Director of Product in the creation and maintenance of market and product requirement documentation, business cases and plans, positioning, and pricing, initiating new activities as needed
    • Facilitate marketing/sales/channel/support training on product line, competitive analysis, and related industry news
    • When required, represent the product management team internally and externally including trade shows, media events, customers, and pitching product roadmap to senior management
    • Balance multiple priorities with a high level of autonomy and confidently work through areas of high uncertainty and ambiguity
