The Tax Assistant will be responsible for:
Assisting with the calculation and invoicing of the annual franchise fees to the global businesses, together with ongoing documentation requirements
Assisting with the completion of the company’s annual country by country report to be submitted to HMRC
Assisting with the preparation of some head office UK corporation tax computations and returns
Data collation and analysis to help the team with the preparation of the main trading company UK corporation tax returns, this will involve working with the Navision accounting system to prepare analysis of different cost centers
Assisting the group tax controller with the annual reporting process
Assisting with the annual PAYE settlement agreement submission
Assisting with the Short Term Business Visitor reviews
Responsibility for preparation and submission of withholding tax forms to HMRC
Responsibility for maintaining a database to collate financial statements and tax returns from overseas businesses
Responsibility for preparing monthly reports from Cognos management reporting system for the tax department in respect of the monthly management accounting and other ad hoc financial reports as needed
Responsibility for certain administrative tasks for the tax department such as raising purchase orders and renewing subscriptions.

Qualifications
Graduate or A levels looking for a career in tax
Skills amp; Experience
Good A-Levels or equivalent
Competence in Microsoft Office Packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel preferably at expert level)
Strong excel skills are essential, being able to work with large amounts of data to create reports for analysis
Willing to study for a tax or accounting qualification (business funded)
Numerate, with some experience of working with numbers
Good interpersonal skills and command of written and verbal English
Ability to work to deadlines, both internal and external, and manage time constraints
Ability to search for solutions to problems and queries but happy to ask for help and guidance when needed
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
