We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technician to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to the QC Team Leader, and be a member of the Quality Control Department.

The core responsibility of the QC Technician is in Supporting the laboratory with Inspection and sampling of incoming materials and packaging, sampling of incoming finished product, and general housekeeping duties and stock control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES amp; ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Inspection and sampling of starting materials, intermediates, bulk products, packaging components and finished products.
  • Collection and storage retention samples.
  • Environmental sampling of the facility (water, plates and swabs).
  • Despatch of samples for external analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of work, carry out and follow written procedures.
  • Reporting of results to facilitate material disposition.
  • Management of laboratory glassware and consumable availability.
  • Calibration of basic test equipment.
  • To carry out tasks as required to suit business needs and department needs and as appropriate to the job role.
  • To carry out all work to cCMP and GLP standards and safe working practices.

Requirements

SKILLS amp; KNOWLEDGE

Ideally qualified to GCSE level in mathematics and/or science. In the absence of formal qualifications he/she must be competent in basic mathematical manipulations and have an understanding of science. It is essential that the job holder is diligent in their work, with an eye for detail and is capable of understanding and working to GMP/GLP.

Shift Pattern: 6am-2pm amp; 2pm-10pm and working 1 weekend a month.
