The company design and manufacture lighting and street furniture for a range of clients across the UK working predominately with architects and contractors. With the business growth they are now looking to recruit a confident and personable Business Development Executive who will proactively contact architects/contractors utilising the database showing live projects/planning applications that will enable the Business Development person to reach out and offer services. This business has a unique selling point that sets itself aside from competitors allowing for agile bespoke solutions, which in turn creates a great relationship and one that will grow with future projects. The ideal person would have worked within a B2B Business Development role either on the road or in a proactive capacity, development relationships and creating pipelines of opportunity. [ The role ]
- Proactively explore Glenigan for relevant construction projects which may require our products and services.
- Utilise LinkedIn to connect with relevant potential clients and explore projects which may require business services
- Contact potential clients via phone (primarily), or email to establish contacts, generate and qualify leads, and arrange meetings for BDM.
- Regularly updating CRM and pipeline.
- Utilise current database of contacts, updating information and cleansing data where required.
- Work with current clients to establish contacts in other areas of the org which we may not be serving currently
- Take part in ‘sprints’ where activity is increased for a period of time, focused on a product or sector.
- Carry out strategic ‘whale hunting’ for large prospects which could transform the business.
- Preparing resources and presentations with marketing team where required.
- Generate accurate and granular reports.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Carry out performance reviews quarterly or half-yearly.
- Relevant administration tasks

- Previous experience in a B2B sales environment
