This is a key role working in the team to support our production and research activities through maximising uptime and performance of critical process equipment, through a combination of monitoring, maintenance, and effective troubleshooting.

  • Work within a team of Equipment Engineers to deliver a robust programme of planned preventative maintenance which includes continual maintenance of production and research equipment.
  • Take the lead in resolving equipment operating issues through collaborative troubleshooting, solution identification and rapid rectification.
  • Implement and manage robust equipment monitoring processes, using data driven decision making to drive optimum equipment performance and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement through analysis of performance and implementation of upgraded equipment and/or processes to drive up key operational metrics.
  • Support implementation of new equipment and facilities as Paragraf expands capacity and capability.
  • Work collaboratively with equipment users to promote optimal use and handling of equipment and equipment systems to ensure maximum up-time
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers and support partners to resolve issues and keep equipment optimised.
  • Always take responsibility for maintaining safe working practices, including the implementation of safe systems of work

Requirements

Education and Qualifications:

  • Further education level Engineering qualification
  • Experience of working within as a Clean Room Equipment Engineer or MOCVD engineer with experience of supporting vacuum and gas supply systems or electrical equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of clean room equipment operation, such as ultra-high purity gas control systems, pneumatics, vacuum systems, pumps, control electronics, safety systems etc..
  • Experience of working collaboratively to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and derive effective solutions to minimise downtime and working in an environment where equipment downtime minimisation is essential.
  • Experience of delivering services to continuously improve Operational Equipment Effectiveness by analysing performance and implementing effective preventative maintenance.
  • Experience of working to health and safety processes and taking responsibility for maintaining safe working practices.
