The role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle SQL developer to join our development team. This is a permanent role based at our HQ in Newcastle, working in a hybrid work model. You would be working in a client-facing role with clients from the banking sector, and helping us to integrate and further develop our own data management solutions built with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

Requirements

Skills needed

• Excellent design and technical skills with Oracle SQL Development (including stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers) with a strong understanding of relational databases.
• Experience writing complex queries, using advanced SQL concepts and performance tuning.
• Excellent understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and the translation of business requirements into them.
• Experience with PL/SQL or T-SQL is an advantage.
• Experience with unit testing and mocking reusable test harness frameworks.
• Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Customer-facing with experience talking to external clients
